Mareeba is a town located in the Tablelands Region of Far North Queensland, Australia. It has a population of approximately 10,000 people and is situated 417 metres above sea level.
The town is known for its agricultural industry, particularly in the production of coffee, mangoes, avocados, and various other fruits and vegetables. The Mareeba Rodeo, which is held each year in July, is also a major event for the town.
Visitors to Mareeba can explore the nearby natural attractions such as Davies Creek National Park, Mount Mulligan, and the Tinaroo Dam. The town also has several heritage-listed sites, including the Mareeba Railway Station.
Mareeba has a tropical savanna climate, with hot temperatures throughout the year and a wet season from December to April. It is located approximately 60 kilometres west of Cairns and can be reached by car or bus.
